Metallic Green Ground Beetle. Family - CarabidaeHabitat Under rocks and logs etc. "Crop and Food Research" studies show they exist in greater numbers in tilled fields where pesticides are not used such as slug baits and aphicides. Diet Their diet consists mainly of slugs and research performed by "Crop and Food Research" has been done to see if they can assist with slug destruction in commercial crops.
